Livewire Connections and Marlink hosted a Classic Car Event the day before the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show to kick off the busy week in style.
A big thank you to all those that attended, and who made it a very special day. Not often does one have the chance to drive a Lamborghini Jalpa, Ferrari 308, AC Cobra RAM or Jaguar E-Type let alone all of them in one day. It was a pleasure to drive such beautiful and historic cars on some of the most iconic roads in the South of France.
The event started at 10:00am, on schedule, with a short introduction and briefing before cars were allocated to drivers by lucky dip. The day commenced at Eglise Saint Nicolas in Fontvielle with a first leg to Eze and a stop for games, views and coffee.
From Eze the cars proceeded to drive up into the mountains via the Monte Carlo Rally stage to the hill top town of Saint Agnes for a set lunch and a Petanque challenge.
With everyone feeling suitably refreshed the cars then headed down to Menton, and back to the starting point in Monaco, where drivers had to navigate the traffic due to the Champions League Football match at AS Monaco’s home stadium of Stade Louis II taking place around the corner.
