Congratulations to LCPL Cayle Royce, CPL Scott Blaney, CAPT Mark Jenkins and CAPT James Kayll on rowing unsupported in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in aid of Help for Heroes.
On 2nd December 2013 their journey started in San Sebastien, La Gomera and finished 3,000 miles later in Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour Antigua. The crew of Row2Recovery comprised of a single amputee, a double amputee and two able bodied soldiers.
Livewire Connections in conjunction with Marine Camera Solutions continued their support that they gave when Row2Recovery first completed this challenge in 2011/12. The team were equipped with an Inmarsat FleetBroadband system to provide voice communications, internet, email access and the ability to send live video from the boat to the shore. This level of technology was essential for the campaign to provide the media, with good quality audio and video to raise the profile of the event engaging the public to donate with such generosity.
They still need your support, please visit the Row2Recovery website (www.row2Recovery.com) to find out more details and to make a donation.
