Access Controller FB-10 version 4.01 released

Access Controller FB-10

The latest Access Controller Firmware (v4.01) has now been released and it is recommended that all users install this firmware upgrade. This upgrade is available free of charge for all FB-10 versions and includes the following new feature:

  • Addition of an alternative gateway option under the Access Controller LAN configuration - DHCP settings. This allows the Access Controller to act as a DHCP server without specifying itself as the default gateway. This can be useful in circumstances where you want to keep the Reserved IP functionality of the Access controller whilst handling network traffic most efficient within your switches, typical when using VLANs.

In addition the following issues were resolved in this release.

  • Resolved issue with Access Controller not passing DNS requests when the primary LAN IP address had been changed and QoS was engaged.
  • Resolved issue with QoS restrictions being applied to internal network traffic routed via the Access Controllers Static Routes. This may typically be seen where VLANs have been deployed.
  • Altered lease information under Reserved IP to reflect the lease end time.
  • Several smaller bug fixes.
