Sea Tel announce VSAT portfolio changes for 4009 8W, XX10 and introduce new 3612

Following the release of the 4012 Ku 1m antenna with IMA electronics in March of this year, Sea Tel are now making the following changes to their mid range product portfolio:

• The 4009 and 4010 8W Ku only antennas will no longer be available for purchase starting October 1st 2012. Sea Tel will be taking orders up to the end of September for these systems, but will obsolete them beginning October 1st. The 4012 is an 8W antenna and in line with our roadmap of the IMA (Integrated Marine Antenna) electronics superseding these models.
• The 4009 will still be available in non 8W BUC variants.
• The 4010 and 5010 will reach its end of life on October 1st 2012 and while it can be ordered up to the end of September, will not be sold from the 1st of October, except for continuing projects.

In line with Sea Tel's product roadmap,  the introduction of a new product and upgrades to their existing line:

• Available in September 2012 will be the new 3612. This is a 90cm 3 axis antenna based on the XX09 pedestal with IMA electronics. This will be available in various RF configurations along the lines of their XX09 products. The list price for the 3612 will be $48,500.00 plus RF package.
• IMA electronics will be added to the 5009 and the 6009 making them 5012 and 6012 respectively. These products will be available in Q4 of 2012 and Sea Tel will transition orders from the Gen II electronics systems over to IMA electronic systems. The 5012 will list at $59,750.00 plus RF package and the 6012 will list at $75,000.00 plus RF package.

IMA (Integrated Marine Antenna) Key Features (ADE):

• Monolithic software upgrades. There is no longer a requirement to upload specific software to each individual assembly. One software upgrade updates the MXP, ICU, Motor Driver Board and the internal SCPC receiver card.
• The same pedestal design and specification as the XX09 system that meets the highest performance standard in the maritime industry. (IEC 60721)
• Identical ship’s bolt pattern as the XX09 antenna system. (3612 will have the 50 Inch radome as a standard configuration).
• The Integrated Control Unit (ICU) is a single box solution that incorporates the majority of the electronics for ease of troubleshooting and replacement, if necessary.
• Integrated in the ICU is also a 150 KHz resolution SCPC receiver.
• On Board GPS antenna. (GGA and GLL selectable sentences from the MXP Graphical User Interface)
• Stowage pins in the Azimuth and Elevation axes.

MXP Key Features (BDE):

• Easiest setup and commissioning system offered by Sea Tel.
• Standard 19 Inch 1U rack mount. (Slide Rails Optional)
• A full web based Graphical User Interface.
• Extensive Remote Management capabilities.
