Livewire Connections VSAT service helps power mining operations in West Africa

Livewire Connections are working with Power Systems Service, more commonly referred to as PS², to supply a VSAT service which will provide a broadband satellite service for mining operations in West Africa.

As a service and maintenance provider of business critical electrical power infrastructure, PS² requires a continuous and reliable communication service for their remote operations.

Livewire Connections were approached by PS² who were looking for a more cost effective solution over their traditional supplier for email, internet and server access at their new site in West Africa. Having reviewed the options available a 1024 / 256Kbps Global IP VSAT airtime package was chosen.

Training was given at the Livewire Connections offices in Chessington, and PS² subsequently travelled out to West Africa and have successfully installed the antenna and supporting equipment at their initial site for immediate use.

For the length of this service contract Livewire Connections will provide remote support and telephone assistance to PS².
